Of all materials cabin beds are made of, pine cabin beds are most popular and most purchased. It is hard to say why, but the main reason is surely the pleasant wood look and the friendliness of the material. Pine is solid enough to last for years and on the other hand it is a classic that will never go out of fashion.
A pine cabin bed is most recommended
But it is not just common sense that recommends a pine cabin bed for your child. Sleep experts often suggest that the human body feels best surrounded by natural material and it has been proven in the past that pine is the most suitable type of wood for a cabin bed frame.
You do not have to leave it as it is in natural look. You can always paint your pine cabin bed with different colours, but always make sure that you are using child friendly colours!

Cabin beds are designed for children, there is no question about that, I am yet to see a cabin bed meant for adult to sleep in (a business niche perhaps?
). But there are differences between cabin beds for girls and cabin beds for boys but also between those that are built for very small children and those for older ones.
Cabin beds for small children are mostly dedicated to the safety of your child. The space below the bed is generally equipped with many drawers so you can have your baby’s clothes very close when you need them. The decoration does not play the most important part at this stage, the cabin bed for a baby must be practical more than anything else.
As your children grow, there is less need for the extra storage space. They get less dirty, so you need less clothes, you do not need diapers any more so that extra space below the bed can be used for more playful purposes. We have already discussed many different motifs that are popular for girls cabin beds and those that are most common with boys cabin beds so I will not go over that again.
Considering the similarity between both products, I am certain that those looking for bunk beds for kids will also find our tips and suggestions useful.

Well, probably the most appealing feature a cabin bed has to offer is heaps of extra storage space under it. Usually there are drawers with clothes underneath the bed or shelves for toys and books, but I have also seen pull out desks being attached. When in use it pulls out and your child can sit next to it and write, draw or whatever the wish is and when finished, you simply push the desk back.
The other fun feature of cabin beds is the magical world you can create for children. The most popular designs for girls are pink princess beds and for boys pirate ships and castles. But the most important thing is that you don’t have to decide whether your child will have a practical cabin bed with lots of space for drawers and shelves or a more fun design mentioned above. Nope, you can combine both features and have both fun and good use of space.
After all, the most important thing is that your child feels comfortable in his room and if you can add some functionality to it all – well, that’s what’s so special about cabin beds
