Cabin Bed

Buying a cabin bed takes time because your child will spend a lot of time in and around it so you want it to be safe and child-friendly but also fun and decorative at the same time.  This goes for all types of children furniture, not only beds, of course.  The term that is often used is also bunk beds, but it is more commonly used in USA and does not exactly describe what cabin beds are all about. The price range for these beds is huge and the price itself mainly depends on the material that is used, the quality of making and the elegance in decoration – again similar to what we look for when buying any type of children furniture.

Cabin bed types

A pine cabin bed frame is the most common choice because it is the most practical and natural material of all. Metal bunk beds are pretty rare, those made of pvc and upvc are probably the second most common material. A pine cabin bed is easily maintainable and gives the room a very healthy and natural look. You can easily decorate it, but as I always say – have in mind it is the piece of furniture your child will spend a fair portion of his life in so make sure you use only materials that are based on natural materials and are not hazardous towards health. But naturally, you should have that in mind when decorating any piece of children furniture, not just beds.
